8 Things To Add To Your Website

1. A Mixture Of Content And Graphics

Some websites are full of Flash graphics and pictures with little content, while other websites are all content and no images.  Users need the graphics for visual appeal, but they also need lots of content about your products and services.

2. Frequently Asked Question’s

FAQ’s are a great way for you to start communicating with a visitor. They are short direct questions and answers, which is the first thing customers look for when they visit your website.  FAQ’s also provide you the opportunity to better educate customers about your products and the entire industry.

3. About Us

Having an ‘About Us’ page in the next thing visitors look for (after reading your FAQ’s). Visitors have questions like, Who Are These Guys’ and ‘Where Are They Located’.  The ‘About Us’ page should answer these questions.

4. An Article Section

When it comes to websites, content is still King.  People like to read short articles about your products, services, your competitors, the market leaders, tips, tricks, good deals, and famous people in your industry.

5. Free Stuff

Everyone likes free stuff.  If you don’t have a product that you can give away, package up some of your information into a PDF file and offer it as a free download to your visitors.  The emotional high that comes with getting something free is worth the effort to package some of your powerful information into a ‘special report’ that visitors can download.

6. Contact Us

The ‘Contact Us’ page is where you turn your sales leads into sales. It is very important that your visitors can easily locate this page.  If you have a phone number, put it in top right corner of every page.

7. Testimonials

People love to read what other people are saying.  Just look at the back of any book and you will see testimonials of what other people think about the book.  People are very persuaded by what other people think. If other people like your product or service, they are more likely to follow.

8. Something New

If you want people coming back to your website, then you need to give them something new – and you cannot just rotate the images on the home page.  If you don’t have time to change content every day, then setup a RSS newsfeed or a daily tip related to your business.
